As a private teacher I strive to create in my learners a deep recognition along with confidence when answering assessment questions and having the ability to handle unfamiliar situations. The base of my ideology is the concept that learning occurs in an environment of mutual recognition in which the person is stimulated to think and make new connections on their own. According to my experience one-to-one personal lesson has a distinct sense to learners because of the option to resolve the children' particular obstacles to study in a manner which sets the foundations for a thorough and lasting discovering of the topic.
Analytic thinking
My approach depends on the scholar's learning style and needs. My teaching philosophy is built upon encouraging students to think for themselves, using existing examples as long as it can be. |I feel that it is really important to supply learners with a working skills and to form problem-solving skill-sets for building upon this knowledge. Training a person to think analytically is at the core of what a person have to take away from any subject class.
The most important contribution
The most lasting increases a coach are able to make is training students, and it is a process, that I consider to be fun and rewarding. From my experience, I found out the value of involving students with the help of models and of pitching data at a level that assumes comprehension but not always knowledge, mixing the known with the unknown as a combination that gives the child the disposition of likelihood instead of that one of impossibility that impressive and formal techniques can impose.
My teaching tricks
I begin with topics the scholars are good with and proceed little by little to more challenging sectors as long as their peace of mind is being established. I apply examples and questions to verify understanding all the time. I will not lecture to students or request them to memorise things. Nor do I do the students' assignments for them!
I typically concentrate on exam-style or past paper questions in order to examine, exercise and improve the learner's grasping and performance. I will also give a lot of importance to a number of the not so vital but obvious skills which include logical thought, essay structure and technique, and the efficient use of graphs and numbers.
